OnePlus 8 5G will go on a special limited sale in India today starting 12PM on Amazon and OnePlus.in. To recall, the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro were both supposed to go on open sale from today i.e Friday, May 29th. However, OnePlus announced on Wednesday that it would have to reschedule the open sale due to an “unexpected” halt in production. That being said, limited stock of the vanilla OnePlus 8 5G will be up for grabs today stating 12PM IST online. The company has also said that customers who pre-booked the OnePlus 8 Series 5G on Amazon India and OnePlus stores can purchase devices as and when stocks are available.
OnePlus 8 price in India and availability
OnePlus 8 price in India starts at Rs 41,999. This is for the 6GB RAM variant that is exclusively available only on Amazon in Glacial Green colour. The phone also comes in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants that are priced at Rs 44,999 and Rs 49,999, respectively. The former variant will be available in Glacial Green and Onyx Black colours, while the top-end variant will be available in Glacial Green, Onyx Black and Interstellar Glow colours on Amazon India and OnePlus.in.
Some offers on Amazon and OnePlus.in include Rs 2,000 off on purchasing the OnePlus 8 through SBI EMI, No Cost EMI options on major banks and Reliance Jio benefits worth Rs 6,000. OnePlus is yet to announce the new open sale date for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro.
OnePlus 8 specifications
The OnePlus 8 features 6.55-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED punch-hole display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The phone includes an in-display fingerprint sensor and runs on the latest Android 10 software with Oxygen OS on top. The OnePlus 8 is equipped with a triple camera setup that includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. The handset houses a 4,300mAh battery and supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging.
