Realme 6i is set to launch in India today and will join the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro smartphones. The upcoming phone is widely believed to be a rebranded Realme 6s, which was launched globally in May. Key Realme 6i specifications have already been revealed by the brand on Flipkart, which is where the phone will go on sale following today’s launch. The smartphone will come with the MediaTek Helio G90T chipset, 90Hz display, and 30W fast charging support, among other things. The Realme 6i launch event will begin at 12:30pm IST today i.e July 24th. The company will be streaming the launch on its YouTube channel, which we have embedded below. Realme will announce the Realme 6i price in India and first sale date during the launch event.
Realme 6i specifications
Realme 6i sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ punch-hole display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T gaming-centric chipset, but the RAM and storage variants are still unclear. The phone will run on Android 10 with Realme UI on top. It houses a 4,300mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging. Notably, Realme will only be shipping a 20W charger in the box and you’ll have to buy a 30W charger separately.
The Realme 6i sports a quad camera setup at the back that includes a 48MP primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2MP mono lens, and a 2MP 4cm macro lens. The phone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C. Realme 6i falls just below the Realme 6 in terms of hardware, so we expect the starting price of the phone to be around Rs 10,000.
