The Mi TV Stick streaming device has been officially unveiled at Xiaomi’s Global Ecosystem product launch event to help users convert their standard TVs to smart TVs. It allows users to stream content from apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, and more, much like Amazon’s Fire TV Stick. It connects to TVs via an HDMI port and boots Android TV operating system. The Mi TV Stick supports Google Assistant and there’s built-in Chromecast baked in to cast content directly from smartphones. The Bluetooth remote control is quite identical to that of the Amazon Fire Stick. There’s support for Dolby Audio and DTS sound format as well.
Mi TV Stick price
The Mi TV Stick global is priced at EUR 39.99 (around Rs 3,400) for the 1080p variant and comes in Black colour. However, Xiaomi hasn’t disclosed its availability details yet and there’s no clarity if it would ever launch in India.

Mi TV Stick specifications
The Mi TV Stick is powered by a quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage for apps. Oddly, it only supports full HD (1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution) playback at 60fps even though UHD/ 4K resolution has become rather popular. The Bluetooth remote control comes pre-installed with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video buttons and there’s a dedicated Google Assistant button as well for enabling voice commands.
