Hurricane Isaias makes landfall in North Carolina

Coastal shops and restaurants closed early, power began to flicker at oceanfront hotels and even the most adventurous of beachgoers abandoned the sand on Monday night as newly restrengthened Hurricane Isaias sped toward the Carolinas.
