Redmi 9 Prime was launched in India earlier this month and it now looks like Xiaomi may bring the Redmi 9A to the country next. The Redmi 9A, which was launched globally alongside the Redmi 9 and Redmi 9C back in June, has now been certified by Wi-Fi Alliance with the model number M2006C3LI — the ‘I’ at the end is an indication that it could be an India-specific model. According to the listing, the Redmi 9A will have single-band Wi-Fi connectivity and run Android 10 OS.

Redmi 9A specifications
The Redmi 9A sports a 6.53-inch HD+ display with 1600 X 720 pixels resolution and a waterdrop notch for the selfie snapper. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 SoC coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage that should be further expandable via microSD card. The handset runs on Android 10 OS with MIUI 11 custom skin on top.
As for the cameras, the Redmi 9A has a single 13MP primary camera arranged in a vertical module that also has an LED flash. Upfront, there is a 5MP snapper for selfies and video chats. There is no physical fingerprint sensor, so users have to rely on pin/pattern unlock.
The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
